Brian DeCarolis earned his law degree from Albany Law School in 2005 and launched his legal career as a Monroe County Assistant District Attorney immediately upon being sworn in to practice law in New York State in early 2006.
Mr. DeCarolis left the D.A.'s Office in the fall of 2010 to start his own private criminal defense practice and in 2015, he became partners with Mr. Nobles to form the Nobles & DeCarolis law firm, dedicated to helping clients resolve all levels of criminal defense matters. Mr. DeCarolis represents individuals accused of all types of crimes ranging from simple violations and misdemeanors to major and sometimes high-profile violent felonies. Mr. DeCarolis' tireless work ethic and strong trial advocacy skills have led to an extensive list of acquittals after trial for his clients. Those same skills have also helped many clients avoid lengthy and stressful trials by securing fair and reasonable dispositions for them short of a jury verdict. In 2016, Mr. Nobles and Mr. DeCarolis added personal injury cases to their practice, taking their trial experience and skills to civil court to fight for the injured and their families.
His successes have garnered the attention of his peers as Mr. DeCarolis was awarded the 2011 Up and Coming Attorney Award and in 2015-2021 the National Trial Lawyers: Top 100 Criminal Lawyers in New York. In 2016 he was awarded America's Top 100 Attorneys and Nation's Top One Percent by the National Association of Distinguished Counsel. Respected as an informed member of the local bar, Mr. DeCarolis is often sought out by local media to comment on and discuss legal matters.
